For this weekly challenge I chose to rework my portraiture project. I absolutely hated portraiture when I studied it in Digital Art and Photography, so I chose to rework and take some risks. My only opportunity for shooting this weekend was midday, a time when I feel the lighting is never optimal for good photos. To combat this problem, I decided to really push the effects of midday on photography by overexposing all of my photos .25 to .5 of a stop. This allowed me to really get some interesting photos because the background is blown out and blurry while the subject is in focus due to f/1.8. I thought that having my subject be backlit by the sun would also provide somewhat of a halo effect on her hair.
